2025 sees the Kangaroos return to England to compete for the Rugby League Ashes. The last full Kangaroos tour was way back in 2003 when Darren Lockyer’s team defeated England in three close contests.Australia and England first did battle back in 1908 when Great Britain defeated the touring Australian 2-0 with one match tied. Britain continued to dominate the early series winning 18 of 22 series up until 1962.
The touring Kangaroos turned the tables in 1963 and since Britain’s 1970 win Australia has recorded 13 consecutive victories. After a 22-year hiatus both sides will be looking to start the new era of Ashes Rugby League with a series win.
