Our Experience

AST is Australia's leading overseas escorted tour operator. In addition to our annual Rugby League tour to Las Vegas, AST has been operating tours to England for the Ashes cricket since 1997, plus the ICC World Test Championship, ICC Cricket World Cup, English Premier League and Champions League tours, plus rugby union, tennis, golf and more. We know how to show you the very best England, France & Ireland have to offer so you can sit back and enjoy an incredible 17 days!

The Rugby League Ashes

2025 sees the Kangaroos return to England to compete for the Rugby League Ashes. The last full Kangaroos tour was way back in 2003 when Darren Lockyer’s team defeated England in three close contests.

Australia and England first did battle back in 1908 when Great Britain defeated the touring Australian 2-0 with one match tied. Britain continued to dominate the early series winning 18 of 22 series up until 1962.

The touring Kangaroos turned the tables in 1963 and since Britain’s 1970 win Australia has recorded 13 consecutive victories. After a 22-year hiatus both sides will be looking to start the new era of Ashes Rugby League with a series win.

Paris

Between the 1st and 2nd Tests we travel to France where we spend two nights in Paris, one night in Reims and two nights in Lille.

In Paris we have an included half day city tour taking in the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and a cruise along the Seine River. We also have a free day for you to continue to explore the magical French capital.

Champagne Region

From Paris we travel to the town of Reims in the Champagne district where we will sample the offerings at the pick of region’s Champagne houses.

Reims is also where the Armistice of World War II was signed, and the schoolhouse used as a base by the Allies during the war is now a museum commemorating this momentous event.

The Western Front

Over 40,000 Australian soldiers lost their lives on the Western Front during World War I and today the area contains hundreds of cemeteries and memorials in honour of the fallen. The focal point for Australian visitors is the Australian National Memorial in Villers-Bretonneux.

We will spend the first of two days of our Western Front tour exploring the battlefields and memorials of the Somme before heading north to the Flanders region of Belgium featuring the Menin Gate and memorials around Ypres.

Dublin

The highlight of our second week is three nights in Dublin where we will tour the Guinness Storehouse, Jameson whiskey distillery and sample the pubs of Dublin’s famous Temple Bar district.

English Football

AST is an official Premier League and Champions League ticket agent and we will have options available to include some English football as part of the tour. Fixture details for the 2025/26 season are still to be finalised, once these are announced we will have options for adding a match to your booking.
