KEPLER WESSELS
Kepler provides a unique insight into Australian and South African cricket like no other. After opening the batting for Australia for 24 tests, he was then South Africa's first Test captain following their reinstatement to International cricket in 1991. A member of Kerry Packer's Australian World Series Cricket in the 70s, as well as Australian Rebel Tours to South Africa in the 80s, Kepler Wessels possesses a unique cricketing resume unmatched in the history of the game.
No one understands the magic of South Africa, the fierce, healthy rivalry between South Africa and Australia and the competitiveness of the Australians like Kepler Wessels. It is these attributes, along with his passion for people, cricket and fun that make him the ultimate host for our AST's South African Tours.
An AST Legend, Kepler has so far hosted the following tours;
2002 - South Africa
2003 - Cricket World Cup South Africa
2006 - South Africa
2009 - South Africa
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time travelling with AST and their tour members in South Africa. All aspects of each tour were extremely well organised and the tour groups were fantastic. South Africa is a great country for cricket touring and AST really provided an excellent insight into not only the cricket but also everything else that South Africa has to offer. AST will be back in South Africa in 2009 for a keenly anticipated Test Series and I look forward to once again being one of their hosts and would highly recommend jumping on board."
